Untitled (fuck it)

One-night-only installation, Cannes, France June 2025
Created during Lidia Russkova-Hasaya’s residency with the Ria Keburia Foundation in Cannes, Untitled (fuck it) transforms an ordinary trashcan into a luminous vessel. From its core, a glowing cord of light spills outward like an exposed gut—raw, visceral, and uncontainable. For one night, the installation stood as both monument and release: an ephemeral gesture of burial and rebirth.
Light here functions as alchemy, sanctifying the overlooked and reframing refuse as a site of possibility. Set against the backdrop of Cannes—a city of spectacle and excess—the work channels a global sense of urgency: ecological collapse, social fracture, cultural fatigue. Untitled (fuck it) proposes a radical act of letting go: to bury what no longer serves and to imagine what might emerge in its place.
