YOU is a meditation on the relationship between men and the world. By placing the performer in a glass window box, Lidia separates them from both their immediate environment and the illusive principals that determine the relationship between modern humans and the world. The stillness of the performer is a protest against the speed of modern life, which impedes the ability to contemplate. The artist hopes that by taking a minuet to watch the human figure presented as a museum object in complete stillness, the viewer will achieve a unique emotional state that will help prevent self-destruction. The performance involve the artist herself and other performers.
